Rural, Urban and Research Innovation Studies (RURIS)
Rural, Urban and Research Innovation Studies (RURIS) is a multidisciplinary scientific journal published by Yayasan Alfatih Institut. Established in October 2025, the journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate research findings, conceptual studies, and innovative works that address issues of rural and urban development.
RURIS aims to foster knowledge creation and innovation across diverse disciplines, with a strong commitment to supporting sustainable development and improving community well-being at local, national, and global levels.

Publication Frequency
RURIS is published three times a year (triannually).

RURIS applies an open access policy, making all published content freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without prior permission from the publisher or the authors.

History of the Journal
RURIS was founded in October 2025 as part of Yayasan Alfatih Institut’s initiative to provide an academic forum for multidisciplinary research on rural, urban, and research innovation studies.

Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal. In addition, RURIS is integrated with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for long-term digital preservation.
